Borrowed Light
Most classrooms, offices, and laboratories in the science building contain windows for borrowed light. This allows the natural light from hallways to enter in to the exterior rooms that would otherwise be dark.
As a result, fewer lights are needed to light the interior spaces of the building during the day.
