EKU featured in SUSTAIN Special Issue on Kentucky Campus Sustainability

The history -- and future-- of EKU's sustainability efforts are featured in a special issue of SUSTAIN magazine focused on sustainability across Kentucky campuses.

Among the efforts highlighted are:

• the annual Earth Days activities
• the expansion of recycling efforts housed in Facilities
• the 2006 Seimens energy-savings performance contract
• EKU's Green Purchasing Policy adopted in 2010
• creation of the Environmental Sustainability & Stewardship minor, and
• the green features of the new science building  and residence hall
