Fritted Windows
The “frits” or dots in the windows found on the North and East sides of the building serve as buffers for the sunlight by scattering and diffusing the light, reducing the work load for the building's air conditioning system.
The frit blocks about 40% of the window area, yet still allows plenty of light and viewing space.
Insulated exterior glazing has low-E coating, with 40% frit pattern on the south and west faces to reduce solar gain. All frames are thermally broken with integrated zinc flashings to eliminate water and air infiltration.
